Lettuce and Mustard Mix: A Dynamic Duo for Varied Salads!

Discover our lettuce and mustard mix, a clever combination that offers a medley of colors, textures, and flavors on your plate. This dynamic blend takes advantage of the properties of both plant families: the fast-growing mustards shade the soil and create a microclimate favorable to the germination and growth of lettuces, while bringing a pungent and spicy note. Imagine a fresh, crisp, and flavorful salad, ready in no time!

This mix can include a wide variety of lettuces (romaine, oak leaf, batavia, etc.) and mustards (Chinese mustard, field mustard, etc.), thus offering a wide range of tastes, from mild to spicy. In addition to promoting lettuce germination, mustard shading helps retain soil moisture and limit weed growth. Harvesting is done as needed, by cutting the young outer leaves, which encourages regrowth and prolongs production. Allow approximately 28 to 30 days after sowing for a first harvest of tender young leaves. Sowings can be staggered every few weeks for continuous production.
