Discover our spicy mesclun, a unique blend of cruciferous vegetables carefully selected for their pungent taste and nutritional benefits. This bold mix combines the base of cruciferous vegetables (such as kale, collard greens, kohlrabi, etc.) with arugula for its peppery tang, rapini for its subtle bitterness, and strong mustard for a burst of flavor. Perfect for enhancing your salads and dishes, it offers an intense and vibrant taste experience.
Easy to grow, this mesclun is sown directly in the ground in full sun every two to four weeks, from March to September (depending on the region), for a continuous harvest throughout the season. Its frost tolerance even allows for extending harvests late into the fall, and even into winter in mild climate regions. Each seed is spaced 1 cm (1/2 in) apart and planted 0.5 cm (1/4 in) deep in rows spaced 30 cm (12 in) apart. Light thinning can be done if the plants are too crowded to promote their development. Harvesting takes place about 20 days after sowing, when the young leaves are still tender and flavorful. You can cut the leaves as needed, which promotes regrowth and extends the harvest. Grow our organic seeds of spicy mesclun for an explosion of flavors on your plate!
